Description

Toyota developed this high-spec version of the sixth generation Celica with the aim of repeating in 1994 their global rally championship of the previous year. It possessed curved, aerodynamic body lines, a distinctive front with four headlights of different sizes, and a 2-liter 4-cylinder DOHC turbo engine capable of 255hp. The 4WD system utilized a center viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for superior traction. Also, 2,100 Japanese models featuring an arched rear spoiler were produced to the acclaim of Celica fans TT-02: Adaptable, Balanced Shaft Driven 4WD The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to give excellent stability. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios.
